Turn90, a program aiding men with reentry into society after incarceration, will be honored with the 2024 OneSouthCarolina Partners in Progress Award at the Building OneSouthCarolina Forum on May 15 in Columbia.
Recognized for its collaborative efforts contributing to social and economic progress in South Carolina, Turn90 offers a range of services to address the complex needs of previously incarcerated men, including transitional work, job placement, and cognitive behavioral classes.
Former U.S. Secretary of Education and two-term S.C. Governor Dick Riley will present the award at the forum, where key stakeholders will discuss Turn90’s origins, successes, challenges, and future plans. Dr. Don Gordon, executive director of the Riley Institute, believes the event will offer valuable insights for leaders statewide, showcasing how a nonprofit can successfully launch, adapt, and build a social enterprise to support its mission.
